Etsy Shop of the Week: Julianne Blumlo

Julianne Blumlo has been making jewelry for over 10 years, and if you ask me, she has perfected her craft.

Julianne's Etsy Shop features one-of-a-kind pieces made with raw stones, and is made with 14K gold filled, silver, or vermeil parts.

I love the elegance and simplicity of her pieces. They are the perfect item to pair with an everyday outfit, and give it that something special.

How gorgeous is her jewelry?

Not only is Julianne Blumlo's jewelry wearable everyday, but it also has the ability to dress up any outfit for nighttime or that special occasion. I love the versatility of her jewelry!

I love finding timeless pieces that I know I will have for years to come

How gorgeous is her jewelry? The best part is that you get your money's worth. Her pieces are so classic, that I know they will be sitting in my closet for years to come, making the little extra that I spent so worth it.

You can find her website here, and her Facebook here

Atlanta: Bella Bag

For you fellow Atlantans, I am in my hometown for a little bit, and lucky for you am keeping record of all my finds! First up? Bella Bag

A great little place in Atlanta where you can buy, sell, and trade designer handbags/accessories. They have selections from designers such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel (my personal favorite), Hermes, Gucci, Marc Jacobs, Louboutin, Prada, and Jimmy Choo. Though they are known for their bags, they do have jewelry, wallets, and shoes!

Chanel Suede Shoulder Bag

There are a few key things that make Bella Bag different from all the others.

Authenticity - Bella Bag is serious about their bags! Each bag that is sold through them has passed a "13-point inspection" by their authenticity experts. They guarantee that their bags are 100% authentic.

Chanel Beige Lambskin Mini Flap Bag

Quality - Bella Bag only sells bags that are in excellent condition. You can hardly tell that any of the bags have been used.

Bottom-line - if you want a designer bag, this is the place to get it.

Chloe Beige Python Large Marcle Satchel Hobo Bag

If you are in Atlanta, you can visit their showroom and see the hundreds of designer bags they have. For those outside of Atlanta, you can order through their website.

Book Club Meeting #3 Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald

It is that fabulous time again! Book Club Time! This time book club was a little bit different because a lot of people were out of town. But, we made accommodations and still had a great time with 3 fancy ladies!

Before we get into the books, I think it is only appropriate to go over the menu! Also, since the cookies and salad I brought went over so well, I might as well share the recipes!

First up... Dessert!

Who doesn't love cookies! Mahaley and I baked some delicious Oatmeal Peanut Butter cookies for our YouTube video you can see later this week, which were amazing, but I must say, for a cookie you do not have to bake, these are outstanding and a bit addicting!

We have all had those chocolate no bake cookies, at bake sales or at grandma's house, but these are extra special! Here is how I switched it up!

Ingredients:
3 cups Gluten Free Oats
2 cups Sugar
4 tbs Peanut Butter
8 tbs Butter
1 tbs Vanilla
1/4 cup Cocoa Magic

Cocao Magic was the secret ingredient in these cookies!
Cacao Magic in an amazing blend from Philosophie that is a blend of anti-cancer, anti-aging and anti-inflammatory, immunity building ingredients. It is also raw, organic and gluten free! Oh, and it taste like chocolate!

Ok here is how you make the cookies! Simply melt everything except the oats in a big pot. When everything is mixed well, just start to dump in your oats and mix! Thats it, just give it some time to sit and absorb the fabulous flavors.
Then take spoonfuls or clumps and put them on parchment paper or wax paper and allow them to harden.

(Put them in the freezer real quick if you are running late and have to go to book club in 5 minutes but they are still warm!)

Enjoy! Also, for something extra special, I sprinkled in and mixed up some flax seeds into about half of the cookies for fun! It tasted great!

Well to balance out the cookies I knew I would be eating i made a nice healthy gluten free and vegan salad!

Ingredients:
2 cucumber
1 cup cherry tomatoes
1 15 oz can of garbanzo beans
small bunch of basil
1/4 cup of sliced green onions
2 tbs olive oil
2 tbs red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon agave nectar
salt and pepper

Toss your tomatoes, garbanzo beans, basil and green onions into a bowl.

Peel and cut out the seeds from two cucumbers, then thinly slice the cucumbers.

Mix up your dressing by adding the olive oil, red wine vinegar, agave and salt and pepper. Then mix it all together and your salad is ready!

We also had some fabulous gluten-free vegan pizzas, fresh fruit, and cheese to enjoy while discussing our book!

These were candied grapes! They tasted like skittles! So delicious!

Mahaley was out of town so she joined us via FaceTime (gotta love technology!) We even had a fork waiting for her!

Ok, this is about book club, right? So lets get to the book!

We were reviewing Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald by Therese Anne Fowler

We all really enjoyed this book and have since become fascinated with Zelda! We really recommend you read the book to get a glimpse into her life and what life was like back in the 20's. Apparently its not all just flapper dresses and fun parties. Zelda was the poster child for being born to early! But she was an incredibly talented, creative and artistic woman. Her relationship with Fitzgerald and the struggles she faced as he was trying to get his life together is a bit depressing but also fascinating. We all took some of her struggles personally while reading it but also really enjoyed and got sucked into the "glamour" of it all as all the historical figures hung out together as they traveled through Europe. I think the biggest thing I have taken from this book is... thank god I was not born in the 1920's! It is much nicer to look back at the fun clothes and parties, I'm glad I didn't have to be a woman trying desperately to find myself and also fit a mold that clearly just does not work. If you are interested in learning more about Hemingway and Fitzgerald, this gives a pretty interesting perspective too. When I had read the Paris Wife, I was not a big fan of  Hemingway, this doesn't exactly make you a fan of his or Fitzgerald's either but it is still pretty interesting to see another perspective of their lives before there were literary legends.

OK, long story short, just go read it!

We then chose between three other books that Jess picked out.

Drum roll please... the next book we will be reading is...

The Silent Wife by A.S.A. Harrison

This is a very "Gone Girl-esque"  book  and most of us had already read Gone Girl and absolutely loved it so this sounded great! Only bad news about this pick is that we all ordered it from amazon and it was on a backorder to ship in 2 weeks! WHAT, Two weeks without a book! (just kidding we are reading other things while we not-so-patiently wait!

If you would like to read along with us, check out some more info on the book here and then go to your nearest bookstore or order from amazon!

You can also follow along on Goodreads!

Village Pet Supplies

We are so excited to tell you about Village Pet Supply! A new local non-chain and non-foo-foo pet shop that popped up! It is a clean friendly place that any pet owner will absolutely love!

Not long ago, while driving by I was incredibly excited when I saw the big orange sign! I could not wait to stop in and check it out!

And, I could easily stop any time I wanted, because there is parking! This never happens in LA and how great to have nice easy parking when you carry out a big bag of dog food. (Or the one too many toys you bought because your dog is spoiled like ours.)

For those spoiled dogs, (or cats) there are plently of toys from toys that squeak to toys that bounce or roll or can take a good chewing.
Ms. Harley Quinn needs the really durable stuff and I was happy to find I still had plenty of options!

There are also plenty of treats for your best friend. Everything I saw in the store looked great! None of that gross stuff you would find at PetSmart or the grocery store! I actually found a bunch of my favorites as well as quite a few things I could not wait to try!

And, they have some really great products! How often do you bump into Soy collar and leashes!

Village Pet Supply isn't a big store, but it is bright and spacious with everything you could need! And, if you need something that is not there already, they will order it for you!

Be sure to say Hello to Garret and Jeff while you are there. They are very knowledgeable and friendly! They will be able to help you out with anything you may need.

They carry raw food too! I have never used raw food, but I know quite a few people who do and are always complaining about how hard it is to find.

Well problem solved! I found some, and I even learned how to mix it!

Harley loved stopping in as well! She has a way of letting me know exactly what she is interested in buying!

The sweet spoiled princess will probably end up with a new bed soon too! It's getting to be about that time and I know just the place to stop in and look!

I was pretty excited when I saw that they carried the Taste of the Wild food Harley eats and they even said if I found it cheaper somewhere else they would match the price! So far, I haven't found it cheaper and I just really like going to Village Pet Supply, so I have stopped looking!

Everything in the store in good for your pet! You can relax about what you are buying and know that it will be good for them!

We can't wait to tell you all about the picture day festivities at Village Pet Supply! The photos came out fabulously and you will probably love them as much as we do!

Stop in and check it out! You can find directions here! Be sure to bring your four-legged friends! I have a feeling they will be greeted with a treat!

Lastly, if you are reading this post, you are just in time for something special. Village Pet Supply is having their first puppy adoption, this Saturday the 3rd, from 11am-1pm. I know what you're thinking - pet store adoption? Just wait...these puppies were abandoned by the local 7Eleven and have been under the care of Animal Rescue Media Education. They are finally ready to go to a loving home.

You better get there before we go...there's more cuteness where this came from
