Quick Brussels Sprouts Recipe


Brussels Sprouts are one of my favorite vegetables and there are quite a few restaurants I go to purely for the brussels sprouts and I am always looking for new ways to cook them. 

Here is a quick easy dinner recipe I have been making for a while. It is also gluten free and vegan!


All you need is...
1 tsp olive oil
1/2 a bag of Brussels Sprouts (1 1/2 cups)
2 tbs pine nuts
1 garlic clove
1 tbs nutmeg
1/4 cup of cranberries (*the raspberries were not as good as cranberries)
salt and pepper

This is super easy and only 5 steps.

Step 1. Sautee the garlic and pine nuts with the olive oil.


Step 2. Throw in your brussels sprouts and *dried cranberries and sauté. Add, a drizzle of olive oil to the brussels sprouts.


Step 3. While everything cooks sprinkle on your nutmeg and feel free to add more if you are a fan of nutmeg. I tend to add a bit extra. 


Step 4. Sauté for 7-10 minutes or until the brussels sprouts have started to softened and everything has mixed together. 

Step 5. This step is totally optional, but highly recommended. My secret ingredient for pretty much everything is Hemp Seed. Just grab a handful and mix in while you finish stirring. 


That's it! Serve it up and enjoy! Its good fresh out of the pan served warm as well as out of a tupperware container the next day cold!
